Aïssé N’Diaye is the creator of the brand Afrikanista, a clothing collection that pays tribute to former African generations and the Sub-Saharan culture in West Africa in particular. The brand is structured around four themes: vintage photos of African families, African quotes and slogans, Egyptian hieroglyphs, and the ‘Funky Diva’ spirit – through the shoulder pads found on some of the T-shirts and sweatshirts, which represent a woman who is confident in herself and in her style, who is both independent and bold.
