  • About
At the Shack we serve a selection of white fish dishes. It’s hard to do pan-fried fish and whole fish even though we’d love to; being a takeaway service people are only happy waiting a certain amount of time and things have to be dished up pretty quick, so our menu reflects this. But we still have a lot of options: from a cod paella and monkfish curry to Thai fishcakes or the super-popular haddock wrap, we’ve managed to create many yummy fish dishes that work in the Shack. We never use frozen produce and this is particularly important with white fish as you just can’t quite get the same taste and texture with a frozen piece of haddock as you can with a fresh one. For us, putting in smaller fish orders more often with our fishmonger works best and people really notice our fish isn’t frozen - so important as it’s obviously not the cheapest option.
