  • About
There is no doubt about it, more and more people are turning to vegetarian or part-vegetarian food – some for moral reasons, others because a wider range of tempting vegetables are available than ever before and some for the good of their health. There is also a general unease about the presence of hormones and antibiotics in meat and the apparent failure to implement stringent enough controls to restrict their use. This is unfortunate for those producers whose meat is beyond reproach, as it is very difficult for the consumer to tell which is which. Apart from that, there is a general move away from the meat-laden diet of old with the growing realization that we don’t actually need to eat huge quantities of meat to be healthy.
