Lining the slow cooker with parchment paper makes cleanup a breeze and helps with taking the food out after cooking (like using the corners of the paper to lift items like brownies right out without a fuss). I know fitting a piece of flat parchment into the slow cooker can be a bit of a pain, so I have a neat trick to share with you that makes lining so much easier.
Scrunch the parchment into a ball and lightly moisten it with water. This sounds strange, but doing this will make it more pliable!
Unwrap the parchment, being careful not to rip it.
Mold it into the slow cooker, it fits way better now! Proceed with the recipe, and later the cleanup stage will be quick and easy!
