I have an unabashed affinity for all things green. My wedding bands are emeralds, and I have more plants in my house than towels. There’s a scene in The Great Gatsby where Gatsby is getting Nick Carraway’s house prepared for his oh-so-anticipated meeting with Daisy. The house is covered floor to ceiling with orchids. On my twenty-ninth birthday, my husband gifted me twenty-nine orchids. Some may say this is over the top; I say it’s just right.

In short, plants make people happy. I have no scientific data—they just do. I mean—they give us oxygen, y’all!
