  • About
Paseo del Prado No. 603
One of Havana’s most historic avenues is the European-style Paseo del Prado, where many of Cuba’s most important buildings are located, including the Capitol Building, the Alicia Alonso Grand Theater, several prominent hotels, cinemas, and historic mansions, as well as the famous Parque Central (Central Park), where men gather daily to discuss baseball and play competitive chess games. Originally built to create a boulevard as splendid as those in Paris, Madrid, and Barcelona, the Prado was the first paved street in Havana. It divides the neighborhoods of Old Havana and Central Havana.
