Formerly located at Malecón 161

El Litoral means “the coast,” and El Litoral paladar, formerly located facing the Malecón, had a picturesque ocean view that was mirrored with a maritime decor. Opened in January 2014, El Litoral was a modern-style paladar in a renovated neocolonial-style mansion. Although it was a popular eatery, Cuban authorities closed the paladar in June 2017, for supposed illegal business operations. It was the first paladar to offer a mesa fría, a cold appetizer salad bar with Spanish-style tapas, such as olives, locally-grown and imported sliced cheeses and meats, and a variety of mixed vegetables. The kitchen was an expansive modern space that had separate areas for preparing the hot main dishes and the cold main dishes. There was even a bakery for the delectable desserts, all of which were prepared on the premises. Former guests already miss the tasty croquettes and sweets.
