This might not be the most exciting section of the book, but keeping the kitchen clean and tidy is important for food hygiene. It also makes cooking a meal more enjoyable if we don’t have to clear the drying rack, do all the washing up or unload the dishwasher and wipe the surfaces beforehand.
I actually enjoy cleaning and making my kitchen a lovely place to be. I tend to tidy up as I go along. As we spend so much time in our kitchen, mess does tend to accumulate, so I try and keep on top of it. ‘Everything has its place’ is my motto! I know that other people like to do it all in one go, so do what works best for you.
