What is a Foodie?

  • About

You are, probably. A Foodie is a person who is very very very interested in food. Foodies are the ones talking about food in any gathering – salivating over restaurants, recipes, radicchio. They don’t think they are being trivial – Foodies consider food to be an art, on a level with painting or drama. It’s actually your favourite art form.

What does a Foodie look like? Like anyone else. Burns on the back of the wrists, perhaps – from getting pots out of the oven. Fatness – no. Foodies are from the ambitious classes, who know about exercise and bran. Characteristic clothing – no. Foodies can be anything from lawyers or musicians to farmers (strangely, the ones who do best in cookery competitions are doctors).
