Sandwiches

To me, tinned fish is the ultimate fast food. Opening a can is faster and cheaper than placing a delivery order, is quicker than running to the bodega across the street, and will provide you with much more vitamin D than an order of chicken nuggets from a rest stop. And once that tinned fish is tucked into a baguette or between a couple slices of pillowy milk bread, it becomes a convenience food that you can wrap in wax paper and toss into a bag for your busy lunch break, or take along on a hike and enjoy next to a glittering lake.
