  • About
If you plan to boil your ham, be sure to get an unskinned ham. A ham with the skin removed will not be as tasty after boiling. Wash the ham well and soak for four hours in cold water. Place in cooking vessel, cover with cold water, add a dozen whole peppers, 6 bay leaves and boil until tender. Test by moving the small bone at tip of ham. If you can move it easily, ham is tender. Keep in this liquid until ready to serve, if it is to be served hot. Remove skin, slice and serve with horseradish and green peas.
