Because it’s naturally high in sugar, I don’t snack on dried fruit, but a few dates, raisins, or dried cranberries can add just the right touch of sweetness to savory foods. I keep a small amount in the cabinet (just enough to flavor my food but not to feed the sugar demons). Be sure to look for varieties without added ingredients.
