Chef

Eugenio (JJ as he’s often called) has an eye for iconic restaurants. He was chef at Lucio’s in Paddington for 13 years, before becoming chef/owner of one of Sydney’s best trattorias in the 1990s, Ristorante Riva in a tiny corner terrace in the heart of East Sydney’s food district. When he called time on running his own show, he spent a year helping out the Merivale group at their pool-side Uccello atop the flagship Ivy in Sydney’s CBD. He left Uccello in 2012 for an early retirement.
