Laura Herrerías

Laura Herrerías was born in 1971 in Villahermosa, Mexico. She came from a food- loving family, where long dinner conversations were always about recipes. Herrerías is a graduate in Finances and Administration from the Universidad Panamericana, a postgraduate in Hospitality from ESDAI and holds a Master’s degree in Management of Gastronomic Businesses from the Universidad Anáhuac. In addition, Herrerías is also a Le Cordon Bleu graduate, having studied Culinary Arts. Herrerías worked as a Chief Sales Officer and partner at ProAgro, a company dedicated to the production of natural vanilla extract and other natural flavours. In 2009, the company ventured into frozen food and it was this venture that pushed her towards pursuing a professional career in gastronomy. Today, she develops products for the food service industry, and specialises in culinary shops, supermarket chains and price clubs. In 2012, Herrerías launched ProGourmet on the Mexican market, proposing recipes on an industrial level while maintaining authentic homemade flavours.
