Pía León trained as a kitchen technician at the Le Cordon Bleu University in Lima, Peru and soon after completing her degree she became part of the Central kitchen team in 2009. Together with Virgilio Martínez, Pía was instrumental in consolidating Central as a Peruvian and world gastronomic reference. Together with their team, Pía and Virgilio have participated in the creation and evolution of other concepts such as Mayo Bar in Lima and the Mil Interpretation Center in Moray, Cusco. Hailed as the best female chef in Latin America, León now leads her own personal project, an independent concept called Kjolle.
