After working as a primary school teacher for 6 years, Şerife Aksoy graduated with a Grand Diplôme® in 2014 from Le Cordon Bleu in Istanbul. Having finally found her passion in life, she quit teaching and started working as a chef. Aksoy was also interested in learning how to cultivate crops in her own garden and so went on to complete the gardening programme at the Edinburgh Botanic Garden. She attended the Istanbul Permaculture Collective training and became a permaculture designer. In 2017, Şerife started shooting a TV show and organised several workshops in her own kitchen and garden. Her interest in food is not limited to cooking. Whether it’s healthy eating or beekeeping, table decorating or raising poultry, Aksoy wants to deepen her knowledge of all things related to food.
