It was a camping trip to Yellowstone National Park that changed Wu Zhuoyi’s life. Greatly inspired by the landscape, it was there that she made the decision to follow her heart. She resigned from her job at Microsoft in China and completed her pastry training at Le Cordon Bleu in Shanghai in 2015.
She returned to her hometown Nanjing and began building her brand Denali Kitchen, a pastry store and cooking studio, along with her husband, also a Le Cordon Bleu alumnus. After only two years, their studio has become one of the best French pastry shops in Nanjing, China and 2018 saw her walk away with the Diamond New Prominent Chef Award.
