Emily Luchetti was pastry chef at Jeremiah Towers’ legendary Stars restaurant in San Francisco during its 1980s-90s heyday. Towers’ aim was “to craft desserts that strike a sensible, alluring balance between appearance and taste.” The 150 recipes cover basics such as sponge cake and custard, as well as Stars classics such as ‘Stareo’ cookies.
