Raspberry Poppy Seed Cake

This little cake is bursting with flavor: The base is lemony with a scattering of poppy seeds, and the raspberry icing adds both a bright color and intense flavor. I find myself making this in February and early March, when it snows forever here in the North with no end in sight, and I’m looking for a sign of Aslan’s return.
