Ingredients

  • 1 sponge cake cut to size of ice cream brick
  • 1 wineglass of sherry, liqueur or fruit juice

Method

Place the sponge cake on a silver dish and soak with sherry, liqueur or juice. Place the family brick ice cream on top of the sponge. Pipe a band of cream round the sides of the ice cream. Stand the wafers overlapping round the four sides and press them to the block. Pipe cream on top. Arrange the strawberries on top of the cream. Make a handle with the strip of angelica. Serve at once.<
