  • ¾ lb. plain flour
  • ¼ teasp. salt
  • oz.

Method

Sift flour and salt and rub in the fat. Add the other dry ingredients and mix with the eggs and milk to a dropping consistency. Put into a greased 8-in. tin and bake in a fairly hot oven (375° F., Gas 5). Reduce heat to moderate (350° F., Gas 4) after 15 min.
