This is the epitome of a pretty, romantic salad. Roses are not only decorative, but have a distinctive, tantalizing flavour too.

Ingredients

  • 4 firm yellow-fleshed peaches
  • 4 tablespoons lemon juice
  • Generous handful

Method

If the peaches are unblemished, they need not be skinned, unless you would prefer them peeled. If they do require skinning, put the peaches into a bowl, pour enough boiling water over them to cover them completely, and leave them for one or two minutes; then drain away the water and peel the peaches.
