This is a nutritious dish which you can serve as a main course accompanied by green vegetables or a salad. It can be prepared quickly in advance and then it needs only a minute or two last-minute cooking in a wok. When I first made this, the countryside was full of wild garlic; the star-like white flowers thrown on to this dish looked very pretty and tasted good too. If garlic shoots are available, try substituting them for the chives.
