Dilly beans are similar to pickles but with a different texture. They are a tasty side to barbeques and especially delicious when served ice-cold on a warm summer day.

Ingredients

2 pounds small, tender green beans
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Method

Destem green beans and pack into jars, allowing 1½ inches of headspace.
To each jar add ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper, 1 clove garlic, and 1 head dill.
