Chili soup is an Amish version of chili that is not as thick or meaty as a typical chili.


  • 6 onions
  • 6 pounds hamburger meat
  • 2 tablespoons but


  1. Sauté onions and hamburger in butter.
  2. Add all remaining ingredients and mix well.
  3. Bring to a boil.
  4. Ladle into clean jars.
  5. Process in hot-water bath for 3 hours.
