Damiana is a liqueur brewed in Mexico from a wild herb (Turnera diffusa or Turnera aphrodisiaca) that has been used as an aphrodisiac and gentle mood-elevator since prehistoric times. The bottle is shaped like a robust naked woman, and—ironically, perhaps—the liqueur tastes rather like that monkish treat, Benedictine.
