Inspired by the beautiful, loud, musical city of New Orleans, Bourbon St. combines bourbon vanilla ice cream and pecan pralines. Decadent, grown-up, yet a little bit naughty. The father of one of our scoopers suggested this one and got a free pint for his trouble. (Thanks, Collette’s dad!)

Ingredients

For the Bourbon Vanilla Ice Cream

  • ¾ cup (150 g) organic cane sugar
  • ¾ cup (

Method

  1. Make the bourbon vanilla ice cream: Prepare an ice bath in the sink or in a large heatproof bowl.
  2. In a medium saucepan, combine the sugar, skim milk powder, and milk. Stir with a hand mixer or whisk until smooth. Make sure the skim milk powder is wholly dissolved into the mixture and that no lumps remain (any remaining sugar granules will dissolve over the heat
