This couldn’t be easier, and tastes delicious with dollops of whipped cream. Choose apples that are not too acidic, such as Braeburn.

  • Butter, for greasing
  • 1 cup (7 oz/200 g) sugar

Method

Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and grease a 12 inch (30 cm) pie dish or tart pan.
