Take a Gallon of Water, and half a Pound of Pearl-Barley, boil it with a quarter of a Pound of Figs split, and a Pennyworth of Liquorish sliced to Pieces, a quarter of a Pound of Raisins of the Sun stoned; boil all together till half is wasted, then strain it off. This is ordered in the Measels, and several other Disorders, for a Drink.
