Mix the flour in half of the cold broth to make a slurry.
In a separate bowl, mix 2 egg yolks with the remaining broth.
Peel the apples and plums or cherries and boil them in 1½ quarts (1½ l) of water. When they are soft, grate the fruit on a fine grater, or mix in a blender along with the water, and add some sugar to taste.
