Ingredients

  • 2 lb (900 g) fresh fruit, like apples, pears, apricots, cherries, and/or strawberries

Method

  1. Clean, peel, and pit the fruit or fruits, depending on which you use.
  2. Boil in a small amount of water (the water should just cover them), stirring occasionally.
  3. When the fruit is soft, puree in a blender or grate on the smallest grating holes.
  4. Cook on low heat, stirring in sugar, until the mass is thick.
  5. Pour into glass jars and store
