Filet Parmigiana

You won’t find filet or steak Parmigiana anywhere in Italy, as Italians make this dish with eggplant. This beef version is a Brazilian creation, specifically from the state of São Paulo, which has one of the largest Italian communities outside of Italy. This dish is so popular that São Paulo has whole restaurants devoted to it, such as the famous Bar do Alemão in Itú, or Restaurante Planeta’s in São Paulo. Making it at home is a bit of a labor of love but so worth it! Yes, there’s a bit of
