Sausage Bread

You won’t find a pizzeria in all of São Paulo that doesn’t serve pão de Calabresa (Calabresa bread), sometimes called tortano de Calabresa. It is almost a Paulista tradition to have some while waiting for your pizza to be ready! And while this recipe makes a classic (plain) Calabresa bread, you can customize it by adding whatever ingredients you love, such as cheese, sliced onions, olives or even some roasted garlic.
