Cacnaça Pickled Onions

When I was growing up, my parents used to take us to an Italian cantina in São Paulo that served a version of these pickled onions. I don’t remember any other dishes from that restaurant, but the onions will be forever in my mind because we always ordered them!

If you love onions, this is a great relish to serve with grilled meat or even burgers and hot dogs, but it can also substitute for the classic vinaigrette that Brazilians often eat with feijoada (
