These cookies are almost like little cakes and do require a madeleine pan, notable by its shell indentations. This recipe uses a whole orange, peel and all, to add a zesty kick.

Ingredients

  • 1 medium-sized navel orange
  • ½ cup (125 mL) unsalted butter, at room temperature

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a madeleine pan, tapping out excess flour.
