  • About

My grandmother loved this kind of salad. The tangy vinaigrette makes a nice counterpoint to the mild romaine and cucumbers, and picks up the zip of the radishes as well. For a more filling dish, serve with Potato Knishes or Smoked Trout Pâté on rye bread.

Ingredients

Sour Cream Mustard Vinaigrette

  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼

Method

Procedure

For the vinaigrette, combine the sugar, salt, and lemon juice in a bowl. Whisk in the mustards, sour cream, and pepper. Adjust the salt, pepper, and sugar to taste.

To serve, combine the romaine, cucumber, radish, and onion in a bowl and toss with enough vinaigrette to coat.
