This cake is a monster! It’s tall, impressive looking and tastes great, the kind of cake my thirteen-year-old son Felix would love for his birthday. The good news is that, although there are a few steps, this is really easy to make and you need little or no icing skills to make it look fantastic! If you’re new at icing layer cakes, this one is a great place to start as the biscuit chunks in the buttercream hide a multitude of sins.
