These turnovers are a perfect fancy little hors d’oeuvre and can be made ahead. I have frozen these successfully for up to a week before baking them. If you decide to freeze them, don’t brush the outside with egg wash until just before you bake them; the egg wash becomes freezer-burned very easily.
