Fairy Cakes

I grew up with good old-fashioned fairy cakes, not cupcakes or muffins. Dad made fairies (as he called them) for both the tea shop and for parties. And now my children enjoy making these fairies and decorating them with anything sweet. I would often raid Dad’s storeroom for sprinkles, silver halls and chocolate flakes - it was a little girl’s paradise.
