Pink Cottage Cake

This is my favourite childhood birthday cake. Dad made it for me most birthdays and the tradition continued when he made it for my daughter, Lara. I loved the chocolate flakes as the roof, the pink iced walls, the pretty garden and pond. My niece, Hannah, requested this cake for her eighteenth birthday in October 2011. Dad was too ill to bake, but he gave instructions for us to make it just as he had so many times.
