  • About

When Dad lifted a tray of ten freshly baked Christmas cakes out of the oven, Christmas filled the bakehouse. We decorated the tea house with festive paper decorations and sold boxes of fancy crackers. Dad decorated the cakes with royal icing and created artificial rocks made out of icing sugar and water to create a pretty snow scene. Each cake had a cast of little plastic characters: a robin, a reindeer, a snowman and Father Christmas on skis.
