Flapjacks are one of my favourites. When friends came to tea in Peter’s I often chose a flapjack while they picked a tray of cream cakes. Mum adapted Dad’s crispier recipe using condensed milk, making the flapjack stickier. She still makes regular batches which friends describe as ‘The best flapjack ever’. These are perfect when you want a sweet lift.
