This name refers to what I call a bistro apple tart — a dinner-plate-size or two-portion puff pastry tart topped with thin apple slices and a bit of glaze.
It’s a lovely tart, but it’s pretty impractical if you are serving more than a couple of guests. The recipe below incorporates all the same elements, but with a slightly more generous yield. It’s more practical, too, since it can be baked in advance and reheated if you want to serve if warm.
