Honey-roasted peanuts are the secret to the intense flavour of this biscuit. Ordinary peanuts just don’t do the trick. These are addictively good, though sometimes I’m not sure whether they’re really a confection or a biscuit. It’s always best to purchase a fresh supply of peanuts if you want to prepare these. Unless you store your honey-roasted peanuts in the freezer, they become stale-tasting pretty quickly and would ruin the delicate sweetness of these biscuits.
