This loaf, a very basic white bread made using the straight dough method, uses a relatively large amount of yeast to get it to rise quickly If you want a slower rise and more flavorful bread, use less yeast and/or refrigerate the dough for part of the rise (see sidebar).

Method

Before beginning, review the steps for bread making.
