This cocktail is an ode to our longtime neighbors at Tortilla Flats. When they closed, we devised this beauty to remember the lamented and sorely missed restaurant.

Ingredients

  • 1 or 2 red Fresno chili slices, plus more for garnish
  • ounces mezcal (we use Agave de Cortes)
  • 1

Method

In a shaker, muddle the chili slices. Add the mezcal, passion fruit syrup, and lime juice. Shake with ice and double strain into a rocks glass filled with ice. Garnish with a chili slice.
