Ingredients

  • 100 g ( oz) caster (superfine) sugar

Method

Place the sugar and 100 ml ( fl oz) water in a saucepan and bring to the boil. Stir until all the sugar is dissolved, then remove from the heat and allow to cool.

This can be made up to 1 week in advance and stored in an airtight container in the fridge.
