  • 200 g (7 oz) cumquats, halved and pitted

Method

Place the cumquats in a saucepan, cover with water, bring to the boil, then drain. Repeat blanching and draining twice. Add the sugar and 300 ml (10½ fl oz) water to the pan, place over low heat and simmer
