  • About

An egg wash is a simple mixture of egg and water that can be brushed on top of pastries and breads before baking. This gives the final baked goods a shiny golden-brown finish.

Ingredients

  • 1 large egg
  • 14 grams (1 tablespoon) water

Method

  1. Combine the egg and water together and whisk vigorously until well combined and very smooth.
  2. Brush on top of your baked goods before baking.
