A certain amount of browsing through cookery reference libraries has yielded no clue as to how India relish got its name, but it seems likely that the array of spices invariably included may have something to do with the matter.

Our relish includes the most traditional ingredients: cabbage, cucumbers, sweet green peppers, and onions. This is a good relish for hamburger time. Because it’s not very sweet, it can be used where chopped sour pickles might be called for, as in coleslaw an
